1.Should lithium batteries be stored fully charged?

Storage of lithium ion batteries can be quite demanding since there are things you will need to keep in mind before storing them, this include, the amount of current the batteries should have to be suitable for storage and the temperature of the environment you are storing in among other factors.

How you store your lithium battery is very important because you can just damage your battery even before you use it. Storing your battery when is full is not a good idea specifically for lithium batteries, but if you are using your batteries everyday there is no problem with charging it to full capacity. It is advisable not to store your battery when it is fully charged because; when the battery is full it has the highest rate of oxidation which is not suitable for storage. It is advisable that you should store your battery when it is at forty percent; this allows the battery to discharge at changes of temperature.

2.Does leaving your charger plugged in ruin your battery?

Smart phones have turned out to be everything currently, everyone does everything on their phones, for that reason you wouldn’t want your phone to run out of power at any time. You will probably leave your phone to charge over night so that you can keep online during the day. But is this the right thing to do? Is it good for your device?

There are very many myths and unproved theories that go around about these issues, people come up with all sorts of information that might either be accurate or not accurate. Most devices that are using lithium battery have really no problem with leaving them on charger even if they are full it has no effect at all. The devices using lithium battery are able to stop current from entering once they get fully charged hence there is no reason why one would think the battery can overcharge. The devices are designed to take only what can be accommodated. The only issue here can be the temperature, once your phone is full the current emitted can cause the heating effect on your phone, this raises the temperature of the device. High temperatures will eventually cause an effect on your battery which will in turn lower the lifespan of your battery.
