Lithium polymer battery is one of the rechargeable batteries of lithium technology using a polymer electrolyte instead of using a liquid electrolyte. These types of batteries also provide higher specific energy if compared with lithium battery types. It is one of the best and upgrade batteries with advanced technology. 

These types of batteries are generally light in weight and have smaller shape. It also provides high power capacity but these batteries have a short life span. It is the battery which lives for 300 cycles you know that one charge cycle is means full battery gets into drained and then charged into the full capacity again. If you use the battery on a regular basis and it needs to be charged in 2 to 3 weeks. This type of battery is mostly used in the RC gadgets as the most advantageous features of the battery is the low weight which increases the capacity of the power and higher discharge rate. Most of the manufacturer has said that these types of batteries last for 2 to 3 years. It depends on the battery usage it means you will regularly use the battery and it takes charge of around 2 to 3 weeks. Most of the time battery replacement also depends on the stamp date which has been applied on the battery.

The battery is combined with three main components which are cathode as a positive end, anode as a negative end, and an electrolytic. In between the cathode and anode, there is a present polymeric which works as separator and prevent from short circuit. By reversing of the flow increases the battery life.

Lithium cells are one of the advanced technology in the polymer battery for using in the RC. The battery is equipped with lithium cells which can cause a fire if it does not properly do. So for this, you should follow some rules so that it could not cause any danger to battery life. 

· While charging batteries should not left unattended.

· It is very necessary that battery should be charged and stored in a fire safe container for preventing it from the explosion.

· It is strongly advised that you should not be charged the battery inside the automobiles even when it is packed. 

· If your house has presences of children then you should keep it away from them and pets also. 

· Before charging you should make sure that setting of the battery charger should be connected with the battery pack with voltage and current setting both. 

· While charging the battery you should explore that it should not be near to the liquids and flammable items. 

· It is said that prevention is better than precaution so you should keep a dry extinguisher, the sand of bucket which is cheap and effective at the time of the fire. 

It is said that when your package arrives half charged that time you put on the charging. Then, in this case, you should charge the battery at full rate and then used it. You should also use the balances charging system which offered a better life. Using it in half charged can cause a decrease in the life span of the battery. 

 Handling Caution of battery

· It is advised that you should not put a battery on a hot day or at high temperature.

· You should not put loose cells on a metal topped table or on a conductive surface. 

· If your battery has been damaged and not getting charged then you should dispose of it. 

· While purchasing the cells you should buy pre-assembled packed cells instead of buying loose cells. 

· If by mistake or accidentally cells electrolyte gets on your skin then you should wash it immediately with soap and water. Then after this, you have to pay medical attention towards the condition.

While charging the battery you have to keep in mind some important tips. These types of batteries are generally safer and friendly towards the environment. The batteries have become high performances among RC battery. 

· You should not charge or discharge the batteries are already damaged. In this case, you should dispose of battery at a high rate. 

· Charging of the battery has specific requirements which mean a specific type of charger is needed for charging. We also recommended that you should only use balance charging batteries. 

· While charging you should only use fireproof safety bag and container. Causing fire in these batteries is not usual but you should keep precautions in mind. 

· When you are charging batteries then they must be charged at the voltage.

· It is advised to you that you should never overcharge the battery which is up to 4.2 voltage and never discharges the battery below then the 3 voltage. 

· You should consider that when you are charging the battery it must handle the cell count of the battery. When you will use a good charger it will automatically count the cell and it will require a manual setting. 

It is the best method to store your battery at room temperature so that it can make a balance between cathode and anode.
