With the development of China's economy, more and more Chinese products have entered the international market. On the other hand, in the face of all kinds of products, especially dangerous goods like lithium batteries, the regulations on the management of imported goods by the customs are very strict. Therefore, there are many friends who do foreign trade will ask: "lithium battery is dangerous goods can be mailed?" "mail batteries need to pay attention to what" "those express can send batteries for export" and other problems. Logistics baba small make up through the collection of the following points, I hope you can help.
1. Firstly, DHL, FEDEX, UPS and TNT, the four major international express companies, can deliver battery goods, but they are different in accepting battery classification, among which:
DHL: lithium ion battery, battery, battery pack, notebook battery, camera battery, cell phone battery, etc.
FEDEX: lithium ion cell, battery, battery pack, lithium metal battery, super WH, super weight battery, imitation brand battery, dry battery, mobile power supply.
TNT: lithium ion cell, battery, battery pack, lithium metal battery, super WH, super weight battery, imitation brand battery, dry battery, mobile power supply.
UPS: lithium ion cell, battery, battery pack, dry battery, imitation battery.
General trade declaration: alkaline battery, nickel metal hydride battery, button battery, aircraft model battery, 18650 battery, cell phone battery, camera battery, notebook battery, electric car battery, power battery, battery, electric car, mobile power supply, uninterrupted power supply and other supporting battery products.
2. Lithium battery transportation and packaging requirements:
In addition to meeting the test items required by UN38.3, there are strict requirements for the transport packaging of lithium battery products in air transportation. The packaging boxes must meet the requirements of the corresponding packaging instructions (PI965~PI970) in the "dangerous goods rules".
According to the packaging state of lithium battery at the time of delivery and transportation, the dangerous goods regulations classify lithium battery cargo into the following three types of packaging and transportation modes:
(1) according to the packing instructions of pi965-970 (including parts I and II) of IATA code for dangerous goods, the lithium battery cargo delivered and transported shall meet the following requirements:
Lithium battery must pass UN38.3 test;
Lithium battery should be packed into the battery can be completely encapsulated in the internal packaging of mutual isolation, lithium battery packaging must be done to prevent short circuit measures;
. The manufacturing sites of cells and batteries must have quality management procedures, such as the manufacturing sites should meet the requirements of ISO9001;
.lithium batteries identified by the manufacturer as defective or damaged for safety reasons may develop the potential risk of heat, combustion and short circuit and should not be transported by air.
. Prohibit the carriage by air of used batteries and batteries transported for recycling or disposal purposes unless written approval has been obtained from the competent authorities of the country of origin and the country to which the operator belongs.
(2) air transport of lithium battery cargo shall comply with the following provisions:
. Cargo of lithium ion batteries packed separately (UN3480, PI965) is prohibited to be transported by passenger aircraft.
. Unless approved in accordance with the relevant requirements of the technical rules, the loading state of the lithium ion battery (core) shall not exceed 30% of its rated capacity at the time of shipment of the lithium ion battery (core) cargo required by PI965 according to the packing instructions.
. No more than one package and/or composite package of lithium battery cargo shall be shipped in any shipment in accordance with part 965 or part 968 part II of the packing instructions.
. No more than one package of lithium battery cargo shall be packed in each synthetic package as required by part 965 or part 968 II of the package instructions.
. Packaging or synthetic packaging of lithium battery cargo to be shipped in accordance with part 965 or part 968 II of the packing instructions must be shipped separately from other cargo and must not be loaded into a container prior to shipment.
3. Notes for mailing lithium batteries:
Lithium batteries are packed and shipped as separate goods and must be packed and shipped as separate articles (bulk/bulk).
.general goods and batteries should be packed in separate cases, not mixed, and the same invoice can be issued.
Battery outlet: the packing box shall be strong enough to pass the 1.2m drop test without damaging the battery, moving the internal objects and exposing the internal objects.
Lithium battery should be loaded on a pallet to avoid strong vibration during handling. The vertical and horizontal edges of the pallet should be protected by Angle protection.
. The inner packing of large batteries must be well insulated with foam.
The outer packing cartons are thin, soft, round and irregular. We do not accept goods in outer packing. The pure battery packing must be packed in thick cartons.
