With the development of China's economy, more and more Chinese products have entered the international market. On the other hand, in the face of all kinds of products, especially dangerous goods like lithium batteries, the regulations on customs import goods are very strict. Therefore, there are a lot of friends who do foreign trade will ask: "Lithium batteries are dangerous goods can be mailed?" "What should I pay attention to when mailing batteries?" "Those express can send battery exports". Logistics Baba collected the following points and hoped to help you.
1. First of all, the four international express delivery DHL, FEDEX, UPS, TNT can mail battery goods, but differ in the battery classification, including:
DHL: lithium ion battery, battery, battery pack, laptop battery, camera Battery, mobile phone battery, etc.
FEDEX: lithium ion batteries, batteries, battery packs, lithium metal batteries, ultra-WH, overweight batteries, imitation brand batteries, dry batteries, mobile power.
TNT: lithium ion batteries, batteries, battery packs, lithium metal batteries, ultra-WH, overweight batteries, imitation brand batteries, dry batteries, mobile power.
UPS: lithium ion battery, battery, battery pack, dry battery, imitation brand battery.
Can do general trade declaration: alkaline battery, nickel metal hydride battery, button battery, RC battery, 18650 battery , mobile phone battery, camera battery, laptop battery, electric vehicle battery, power battery , battery, electric vehicle, mobile power, uninterruptible power supply And other supporting battery products.
2. Lithium battery transportation and packaging requirements:
In addition to the test items required by UN38.3, the lithium battery products are also subject to strict requirements for transportation and packaging. The packaging box must comply with the corresponding packaging instructions in the Dangerous Goods Regulations (PI965) ~PI970) requirements.
According to the packaging status of the lithium battery at the time of delivery, the Dangerous Goods Regulation classifies the lithium battery goods into the following three types of packaging transportation methods:
(1) According to the International Air Transport Association IATA "Dangerous Goods Regulations" Packing PI965-970 (including Parts I and II), delivery of cargo transportation of lithium batteries should meet the following requirements:
Lithium battery must pass UN38.3 test;.
Lithium battery can be charged fully encapsulated within the battery pack isolated from each other, short-circuit preventive measures must lithium packing;
Cells and cell manufacturing site must be quality control procedures, such as the manufacturing site should meet the requirements of ISO9001;
. Lithium batteries that have been identified as defective or damaged by the manufacturer for safety reasons may have a potential hazard of heat generation, burning and short-circuiting and should not be transported by air.
It is prohibited to transport waste batteries by air and batteries that are transported for recycling or disposal purposes, unless written approval is obtained from the competent authority of the country of origin and the country of the operator.
(2) Lithium battery cargo air transportation is subject to the following regulations: Lithium-ion battery cargo (UN3480, PI965)
packaged separately is prohibited from being transported by passenger aircraft. Unless approved in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Technical Instructions, the lithium ion battery cargo transported in accordance with Packing Instruction PI965 shall not be charged at least 30% of its rated capacity at the time of shipment. In any shipment, no more than one lithium battery pack and/or synthetic package shall be shipped in accordance with Part II of Packing Instruction 965 or Part II of 968. No more than one lithium battery pack shall be shipped in each synthetic package as required by Part II of the Packing Instruction 965 or Part II of 968. Lithium battery cargo packages or synthetic packaging required to be transported in accordance with Part II of Packing Instruction 965 or Part II of 968 must be shipped separately from other shipments and must not be loaded into the container prior to shipment. 3. Precautions for mailing lithium batteries:
Lithium batteries are packaged and shipped as separate items, and lithium batteries must be packaged and shipped in the form of separate items (bulk/package).
. General goods and batteries need to be packed separately, cannot be mixed, can be the same ticket.
The battery outlet, the package should be strong and can pass the 1.2M drop test without damaging the battery, moving the internal objects, and not exposing the internal objects.
Lithium batteries should be loaded on pallets to avoid strong vibration during handling, and the vertical and horizontal edges of the trays are protected with corners.
Large battery inner packaging must be isolated with foam.
The outer box packaging carton is thin and soft, the drum is irregular, the outer packaging is not received, and the pure battery packaging must be packed in thick cardboard.
