Batteries have become an important part of human life. The reason for batteries having such an important place in human life comes from the ever-increasing technological developments of the 21st-century. Almost every Streamlight Stinger model has its batteries housed inside the holding area of the torch. All that is need to be done is to carefully remove the bottom opening of the light which has a spring fitting allowing its easy removal. The batteries can then be easily taken out and removed with the new ones. The opening casing has a sign printed on it that shows the correct battery polarities that should be followed for installation.

Streamlight Stinger Battery Life
In terms of operating hours, a healthy Streamlight Stinger battery lasts around 1000 charges after being charged for 10 hours. 10 hours can be a long time for charging and to ensure the convenience of the Stinger LED, users should keep two pairs of batteries; one for usage while the other pair is charging.
Streamlight Stinger batteries come with a 2-year warranty with proof of purchase, however, batteries that have not been used properly and have been mishandled do not qualify for the warranty.
To ensure a healthy long-lasting battery, it is suggested that the users should take care of the following indicators:
1.Insert the batteries properly according to their polarities. The correct negative and positive polarities are marked on Streamlight Stinger’s battery or body casing.
2.Always keep the contacts of your battery clean by rubbing them gently with a clean piece of cloth or pencil eraser.
3.When replacing the batteries, use the batteries having same specifications. Also, replace the complete pair always and never use an old cell with a new one.
4.If you use two pairs of batteries on a single Streamline Stinger make sure to store the idle pair at room temperature and appropriate environment.
5.Do not leave the batteries unused inside the device as they may cause leakage that will cause damage to the device.
6.Do not throw the old batteries into a fire.
7.Keep your idle pair of batteries away from any pieces of metal as this can cause a short circuit within the battery causing the battery to heat up.
8.Streamlight Stinger batteries are mostly rechargeable batteries. However, always make sure that the model you are using has rechargeable batteries. Trying to recharge a non-rechargeable battery can cause the battery to leak or rupture.
9.Avoid charging a rechargeable alkaline battery with a nickel metal hydride battery charger.
10.Do not put the light in a hot place or do not overuse it if it becomes hot after several hours of usage. Overheating of the device can cause the batteries to discharge automatically.
11.Do not use batteries of different types or the same battery types of different makes together as this can cause serious damage to the device.
Who Makes Streamlight Batteries?
Streamlight devices use a different types of batteries according to the nature of their use and the features they carry. Some of the devices require high-density outputs while some can compromise on the density but can not compromise on the hours of continuous operations.
Streamlight has its own batteries that come along with the device. They produce rechargeable batteries which may be an alkaline battery, a lithium-ion battery, or a Nickel-Cadmium battery. Also, Duracell batteries rechargeable or one-timers can be used with the Streamline devices as they are capable of producing efficient outputs.
Keep in mind that one should be very vigilant in battery matters because Streamline does not allow you to claim the warranty if your device has been damaged due to a case of faulty battery handling.
