What is a flooded lead-acid battery?

Flooded lead-acid batteries include an electrolyte that keeps moving around in the battery case. When the flooded lead-acid battery is charged, the acid of the battery and the lead plates tend to react in order to store the electricity. Is a flooded battery a lead-acid battery?

How do you charge a flooded lead-acid battery?
