How to solve the problem that the lithium battery is locked after it runs out of power?

Dec 13, 2018   Pageview:3760

The battery itself has a circuit to protect the battery.

When the battery is fully charged, the charger will continue to work, and a certain chance will result in 'overcharge', when the battery will be locked and protected.

You can unlock by removing excess power...

Well, there are other ways. Some lithium batteries will automatically lose current in a natural situation for a period of time, and they can be automatically restored...

You can do this by putting the battery in the machine and plugging it in. After booting up, if there is a standby function, it will stand by, and then unplug the power. After a few hours (or a dozen hours), it may solve the problem.

Directly lithium positive and negative battery is charged, when the lithium battery voltage reaches lower limit voltage of the protective plate, the protective plate will work.

The power management chip is BQ20Z75, the three polymers are connected in series, and the test voltage is only 7V. After watching the soil method on the Internet, directly connect the battery to the positive and negative poles with 12V power supply, which can be charged and charged to 12V. However, the battery still cannot output input. It must be that the management chip is locked. Ask for advice, can you save the U disk like a short, reset? Dead horses are alive horses, and local small cities, it is impossible to get professional unlocking.

Later, I continued to tremble and continue to rush to the battery, and rushed to 12V. After charging, I still have no voltage. Just put back the book and look for opportunities to fix it. I know how to install the power adapter. The battery is alive. . . . It seems that the notebook battery is useful in addition to the positive and negative poles (the few measured is 3.3V).

The laptop is charged with the battery for a long time, causing the battery to self-protect and lock. In the power supply, the battery capacity is zero. Use the windows optimization master to check the battery information is normal. Once the power is turned off, the battery indicator will light for a few seconds, but I don’t know. How to unlock,

The battery is locked due to excessive discharge. In order to prevent permanent damage to the laptop battery caused by overcharge and over discharge, the notebook's battery has a protective board. When the notebook is not used for a long time, the self-discharge behavior of the battery will cause the battery voltage to continuously decrease. When the voltage is lowered to a certain extent, the protection board locks up and stops the battery from continuing to discharge.

Solution: Connect a positive and negative pole of the power supply with a DC output of 12V to the positive and negative poles of the battery for direct charging. When the battery voltage reaches 11.1V or above, stop charging, replace the battery in the notebook, connect the power adapter, and test the battery whether it returns to normal.

2. The power management chip is locked. When the laptop battery is replaced (strictly, the battery is replaced) or other operations are performed, the power management chip is powered down and the management chip is locked.

Solution: According to the management chip model, the chip is re-written with special software and programmer.

3. False lock caused by component failure. The MOS tube and other components on the battery protection board are damaged, so that the battery cannot be charged normally. The phenomenon is basically the same as the battery lock.

Solution: In the case of power failure, use the multimeter's resistance file to detect the protection board components and replace the damaged components.

There are three possibilities for the battery to be locked:

1. The battery charging protection circuit is faulty, the battery is overcharged, and the battery chip design protection voltage is exceeded. The battery chip will directly disconnect the battery core and reject the output.

2. The battery temperature is too high. When the battery temperature sensor checks that the battery temperature is too high, the fuse blow program will be started and the battery output will be disconnected.

3. The battery is over-discharged. The battery itself has a self-discharge process, which is generally about 3 months. Once the battery core voltage drops below the chip set protection voltage, the battery core stops working.

The battery self-locking cannot be repaired by software, and it can only be repaired by hardware.

1. Use a multimeter or software BatteryMon_v2.0 to measure the battery voltage. The general laptop battery is made up of 3 groups or 4 groups of 3.7v~4.2v batteries in series, taking three groups as an example: the voltage below 3.7*3=11.1v belongs to Low voltage protection. The battery can be charged by directly charging the notebook power adapter. When the battery charge recovery voltage exceeds 11.1v, it can be charged when you put it back in the notebook.

2. If you can't measure the voltage with a multimeter, I suggest you find a battery repairer in taobao, repair and replace the battery core.

3. If the battery voltage is too high (greater than 4.2*3=12.6v), you can find the 12vcpu fan to discharge low current until it is within the normal range. However, if it is too high, the voltage may not be measured!
