White vinegar, distilled:

You will need white vinegar. Now and then it is available in every home, but if you don't have one, then you can buy it from the market. If not, you can use the lemon juice otherwise. 

Cotton Swabs:

Take out the batteries.

Give time to dry the terminals.

Afterwards, you will need a glass into which you can pour some coke. Place the glass near the terminals so that the terminals can sink into it easily. 

Now sink the terminals into the coke completely. When you sink it, leave it for a while. During this time, take a toothbrush or any small brush and start rubbing on the terminals. It will report the corrosion more efficiently. 

When you are done with it, remove the terminals from the coke and throw the glass away. Now leave the terminals to dry out. It will take time. You can use the cotton swabs to dry them out quickly. 

When you are sure that the terminals are completely dried out, then attach it to the battery again and start using it.
