●White vinegar, lemon juice, or acid

Step 1:

Put on the gloves first because the chemicals inside the batteries can burn your skin. Batteries always discharge some liquid that is completely acidic and can ruin and burn your skin. So putting gloves on is not a bad idea after all.

Put on the goggles as well. Every battery emits gases. These glasses are toxic, especially with a dry cell battery. So the goggles will protect you from those glasses.

 

Step 3:

Take out the batteries and make sure the device is completely powered off. Then put some of the lemon juice or vinegar on the affected areas; afterward, the affected areas will start to fizz. ‘

It is one of the best ways to remove corrosion. The baking soda neutralizes the battery acid and the vinegar reacts with the baking soda and will break it down. You can just wipe the dust off afterward.
