Lithium battery is widely used in industrial energy storage

China's power consumption is huge, and various power generation methods coexist. To realize the rational use and reserve of energy, China's power grid system must carry out power grid construction and store surplus power.

Power grid connection refers to the addition of clean energy, such as wind power and solar energy, to the large power grid, so as to integrate power of various resources to ensure the stability of power supply. The use of stored energy by power companies to meet the demand for electricity during peak periods is called grid peaking, commonly known as “peak clipping”, which helps maintain grid reliability and efficiency and lower electricity prices. These applications require tens to hundreds of gigawatts of stored value. Jills Raadschelders, vice president of the European energy storage Association (EASE), said last year that by 2030, the size of the energy storage market will total 500 billion euros. In China, the uneven economic development and the different energy demand in different regions need to be intelligently deployed for the production and transportation of electricity, and the demand for energy storage will be better than that of Europe.

The most common grid storage technology today is pumped storage, which accounts for nearly 90% of utility power storage. However, this is limited by geology and space, and pumped storage systems take many years and cost millions of dollars to build. At the same time, pumped storage is accepted as the final power and the output is connected to the grid. It depends on the stable transmission of power. Different power generation methods need to be converted to make the current stably integrated into the grid. The current conversion requires energy storage. The existence of the energy storage can be smoothly output. Such a storage power station generally uses a lithium battery as an energy storage medium. The advantage is that the construction time is short and can theoretically be placed anywhere.
