The method of preparing dilute sulfuric is quite easy. You just need to take a measuring flask, add sulfuric acid of about 29ml, and add water in it till the mark of 71 ml to obtain 100ml of dilute solution. 

As out of 100ml of the solution, only 29ml is sulfuric acid, so you can say you have obtained 29% sulfuric acid. This dilute sulfuric acid is not strong enough to corrode the metallic parts of the battery and help to conduct electricity and convert it into potential energy.

What is battery acid called?

The battery acid used in the battery of the vehicle conducts electricity by allowing the electron to move from cathode to anode, so the solution of acid and water overall is called an electrolyte.
